Motor does not run.
CAUSE
·The battery pack is not installed.
·The battery fails to connect with the saw.
·The battery pack is depleted.
·The battery pack or chain saw is overheated.
·Chain brake is engaged.
·There are some debris in bar groove.
·There are some debris in side cover.
SOLUTION
Install the battery pack.
·Reconnect the battery pack with the saw.
·Charge the battery pack.
·Wait the battery pack or chain saw to cool until the temperature drops below 60℃(140°F).
·Pull the chain kickback brake handle backward toward the front handle.
·Press the saw chain against the wood, move the chain saw back and forth to remove the debris.
·Remove battery pack and side cover, and then clean out debris.
Chain saw stops running during operation
CAUSE
·The chain saw is overloaded
·The battery pack or chain saw is overheated.
·Saw chain is bound in the wood
SOLUTION
·Decrease the load
·Wait the battery pack or chain saw to cool until the temperature drops below 60℃(140°F).
Motor runs, but chain does not rotate.
CAUSE
Chain does not engage drive sprocket.
SOLUTION
Reinstall the chain according to the chapter REPLACING THE BAR AND CHAIN/ASSEMBLING THE BAR AND CHAIN.Ensure that the drive links on the chain are fully seated on the sprocket.
Chain brake does not engage.
CAUSE
·Debris influences the full movement of the chain kickback brake handle.
·Chain brake may malfunction
SOLUTION
·Clean debris from the external chain brake mechanism.
·Contact SUNTEK Customer Service.
Line is not cutting well.
CAUSE
The line-cutting blade on the edge of the quard has become dull.
SOLUTION
Sharpen the line-cutting blade with a file or replace it with a new blade.
Chain saw does not cut properly
CAUSE
·Insufficient chain tension.

·Worn chain.
